Colonial Williamsburg 8x8 Shed

"I needed a shed kit to build inside of a fenced area. After much research, Little Cottage looked to be the right solution for a good quality, easy to build shed. It took two people two days including building the floor (I did not purchase the floor from Little Cottage) and installing the asphalt roofing. Communication with the company was fast and very professional. Shipping was great, everything came well packaged on a pallet. Instructions for the construction were clear, no issues at all. I am extremely pleased with the finished product and would definitely recommend this company."

Our Nice New Shed!

"We just finished assembling our Little Cottage 8 x 10 Colonial Williamsburg shed. I can't beleive they could fit the entire shed on a pallet (including the floor)! Impressive. It is a sturdy design that will last us for years. My only regret is not doing this sooner. Thank you Little Cottage Co! We love it! Now to add some paint. :)"

Colonial Williamsburg 12x24

"Overall, we are pretty pleased with our 12x24 Colonial Williamsburg shed. It looks great inside and out. It will be a major improvement over the old shed we are replacing. We are giving it 4 stars and not five for the following reasons. The instructions need to be updated and need to be more detailed. If we were to build another one we would do a few things a little differently. The instructions could be better about discussing best practices for a trouble free build. The delivery was good but the driver could not get very close to our garage as we have a stone driveway. The delivery company should be better prepared to deal with a stone driveway. About half a box of nails were cheaper 2" spiral nails instead of the better quality 2" ring shank nails. I am not sure why. The pieces for the mid truss expansion support were missing from the kit. We had to make our own out of some 2x4's that we luckily had on hand. It seems to us that more of the assembly could be done with screws as opposed to nails as they are faster, easier, and stronger. So, we would like to see more screws included for those of us that have an impact tool to use. The last thing I would mention is that the kit is advertised as something that can be thrown together on a weekend by two people. For the 12x24 kit that we got that is a very optomistic time frame. For our kit I think a week is more realistic. You also need to be in fairly good shape if you are going to do it yourself. A lot of the pieces are heavy or awkward to lift and assemble, not to mention the roofing shingles you will have to install yourself too! So, all in all, very happy with the end result! It simply took longer and more effort than was anticipated."

AMAZING Company

"We bought the 8x8 Colonial Williamsburg and are delighted with the product. We read the instructions before we started assembly and completed the cottage with the help of two friends in 1 day. On the occasion that we requested assistance from customer service they were immediately available and very knowledgeable. This cottage looks beautiful and we think it exceeds any of the almost 100 we considered in quality of wood and ease of construction. Thank you Little Cottage Company."

Love this shed but not the instructions

"What I liked. The shed is solid 2x4 16" center construction as is the floor kit. The roof and trusses are equally solid. The functional windows and attic vents help keep the interior from overheating on hotter days. The exterior panels are tough and easy to paint with a brush and thick nap roller. Everything squared nicely and the final product is solid like a house. Painted and shingled to match the house, this shed is a beautiful addition to my yard. What I didn't like. The instructions were confusing. I received two sets. One was for a similar but different shed utilizing different construction and the other a was a poorly labeled exploded view of this shed. I'm an experienced carpenter and struggled with several steps. In particular, there was no information on the roof pitch needed to properly assemble the trusses. Nevertheless, with some improvisation and guesswork, I finished the project. Additional notes. The 8x12 shed comes with 2 4x4 floor supports. I added two more for a much more solid floor. I bought this kit from Lowes for one reason. They delivered it and dropped the pallet on my driveway. If I had bought the kit from the company, I would have had to unload the pallet from a truck while the driver waited. I'm a 70 year-old woman. No thanks."

Great little shed-- Horrible instructions

"The shed itself is great, and thankfully I know my way around a construction project, but you could have at least sent instructions that match the shed I purchased. The pictures and directions were not for the package I received. This caused confusion, frustration and mistakes to be made. Missing studs and top plates were not explained, the images provided were for different sheds--- so step by step, nothing made sense. Do better."
