We are so happy with our new schoolhouse!
"I'm so excited for my preschoolers to return in the fall. . . . they are going to LOVE the new schoolhouse waiting for them in our outdoor play space. Delivery was simple and the playhouse was well-packed for shipping. My husband has some background in building and was very impressed with the quality of the product as we unloaded it. Assembling the 8x10 size took 2 of us about 6 hours. We have a fair amount of DIY experience, which helped out. If you're inexperienced, you might consider bringing on someone with more background to help. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, though there were places where some implied knowledge was required. It took a few more days to get the painting and shingling done. . . not difficult work, just a time consuming. We are still troubleshooting the bell, as it doesn't like to come back to its center position after being rung. I think the handle on the rope might be a little heavy and is pulling it off-center when at rest. It shouldn't be too hard to fix. It also didn't sit flush with the roof around the edges, so we plan to add some additional trim to finish that off. The overall finished product is so darling and very sturdy. I couldn't find anything available locally that came even close to this quality at this price-point. My only criticism was that the website indicated it would take 2-4 weeks to ship and ours took 8. 5. There was no communication about the delay, so it took my proactive reaching out a few times over the weeks to check up on it. Maybe consider adjusting timeframes on the website during your busier seasons to more accurately convey shipping estimates."
